FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Original Press Release
Cleveland, OH- With the school year quickly coming to an end, Classroom Antics is giving kids the opportunity to continue learning throughout the summer while having fun. Their summer programs are designed to engage kids 7-13 years old in science, technology, engineering, and math (S.T.E.M.) learning.
According to the National Math + Science Initiative, “jobs in computer systems design and related services, a field dependent on high-level math and problem-solving skills, are projected to grow 45 percent between 2008 and 2018.” As a result of this tremendous growth, it is essential to provide kids with the knowledge of S.T.E.M. learning to prepare them for their future. Instead of kids wanting to play video games all summer, they can get a hands-on learning experience by creating their own video game. The technology and science programs currently offered are LEGO robotics, video game design, computer programming, stop motion animation, Junkyard Robot Science Camp, and Amusement Park Science Camp.
This summer, over 1,700 kids will learn these valuable STEM skills in a Classroom Antics summer camp. Their camps are offered as week-long camps between June 6 through August 12 and have over 30 locations in Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Northern Kentucky. The camps are primarily offered as half-day camps, but a full day option is available. In camp students will complete hands-on projects, make new friends, discover their interests, and have fun all while learning valuable STEM skills that will benefit them in the future.
