For Hour of Code™, Classroom Antics is offering free programs in coding using Scratch™ for kids in grades 4-8 to discover what they can create with code. Register today to join us for this hour-long programming experience at our STEM Activity Center in North Royalton!
What Kids Will Learn
By joining us for this Hour of Code event kids will discover the basic elements of building their own computer program. This event is intended to be an introduction to computer programming to help kids determine their interest in coding and computer science. Kids will use Scratch, a visual coding program, to make their own playable computer program using keyboard inputs, x-y coordinates, and sequential programming. Bring a USB flash drive to save your computer program and receive a copy of Scratch.

- Ocean Adventure – Program a fish to move around on screen and avoid sharks

What is Hour of Code?
Every year, during Computer Science Education Week, which occurs in early December, leading organizations across the United States like Classroom Antics offer free educational programs to school-aged kids to awaken them to the enriching world of computer science. These activities are intended for beginner-level to encourage further learning.
This Hour of Code program is provided free-of-charge by Classroom Antics in hopes of inspiring today’s kids to make tomorrow great.
