It’s no Cedar Point or Disneyland, but there’s a lot to see and do with more than 50 rides, shows and attractions. The park hours are limited and they are closed some weekdays, but it was under a two hour drive from Tampa and my daughter, Weez, had the day off school. LEGOLAND Coming to Central Florida

LEGOLAND is building a new amusement park in Winter Haven, Florida, to be nicknamed LEGOLAND Florida, opening October 2011. The new park will be built on the old Cypress Garden amusement park and will be home to 50 rides, shows and attractions. Some rides will be moved to Florida from other LEGOLAND sites around the world. The new LEGOLAND will be similar to the park in California but not Chicago.
