Focus on Architectural Engineering
How closely have you looked at buildings and bridges? Have you thought about what goes into designing and building the structures that people use each day?
Using popsicle sticks, rubber bands, paper cups, and other household materials, kids will work together to build unique models of skyscrapers, suspension bridges, and ziplines. Our projects will model different structures, all the way from ancient Egyptian pyramids to modern houses. They will explore the scarcity of materials by paying for building supplies with play money.
For four weeks in this Engineering Club, kids will investigate architecture and discover how people engineer structures and even develop a few amazing structures of their own.
