In our Minecraft Coding camps, we use the Minecraft Education Edition and MakeCode Connection. In combination, these Minecraft Educational Resources allow kids to use code to change the Minecraft environment. Kids use MakeCode to make programs, create mini-games, and automate farming. The Minecraft Education Edition is used to help code environments. What is great, kids can play Minecraft with the education edition just like the original version of Minecraft.

To pursue using Minecraft Education at home:

1. Check if your child’s school offers a free version of Minecraft Education Edition. If your school has already purchased Minecraft Education Edition, you can download the software and use a school license. You can also ask your school technology specialist to find out if they have a license you can use.
2. If you do not have access to a school account of Minecraft Education Edition, you can purchase a one-year subscription to your own Minecraft Education Edition account through us at Classroom Antics.
