Kids love video games, and in our fun, enriching Video Game Design camp for kids they can now learn to program their very own games to share with family and friends. This camp introduces kids to the exciting world of video game design via a step-by-step process that involves introductory programming skills, computer science, and creativity.
Our knowledgeable instructors combine strong curriculum, and fun and empowering teaching methods, to lead students through the full process of creating a game from beginning to end, including developing characters, rooms, building walls, adding backgrounds, music, sound effects and other great techniques. However, students have control over the gameplay, visual elements, settings, music and sound effects for their games.
During our Video Game Camp for kids students play each other’s game, offering compliments, suggestions, and encouragement along the way. At the end of camp, each child is provided access to a version of the GameMaker software, and a library of graphics and music files to continue to develop their games and create new ones as well.
At Classroom Antics we encourage our students to not just play games, but make them!
There are no prerequisites for this Video Game Design camp other than creativity and and interest in video games. If your child is interested in programming, video games, computers, or just looking for a new way to express their creativity, this Video Game Design Camp is a great option to take their technology education to the next level.
