Thank you for joining us for a wonderful week in our VEX Robotics camp! The robots we use at camp are intended for schools or competition teams, but can be purchased by individuals. The information is below.
There are two versions of the VEX IQ Robotics kit. We use the Education Kit in our VEX IQ Robotics camp. Though they recommend one Education Kit for 2+ students, we offer one kit per student at camp so that no one has to share their robots. Here are the links to each version you can purchase. In addition, there are descriptions that help you understand the differences.
Not used at camp, a less expensive option for robotics at home is to purchase a LEGO Mindstorm kit. There are several to choose from, ranging in price from $40 – $1000. Amazon is a good place to look for new robotics kits.
Classroom Antics has a few LEGO EV3 Robotics kits for sale for $275. They were used at camp in previous years. The kits are fully inventoried and in working condition. They sell for $1000-$1400 new, if you can find them. Call or email us for more information. There are only a few left!
The Ohio Afterschool Child Enrichment (ACE) educational savings account program provides qualifying families with $1,000 per child to use towards approved enrichment and educational activities such as tutoring, academic camps, and before- or after-school programs.
