A STEM-Summer Camp Provider
Classroom Antics exists to inspire, excite, and enrich the lives of kids in today’s tech world. We deliver hands-on summer camps that promote learning, creativity, and teamwork. We offer our summer camps throughout Ohio and Michigan. Our programs are STEM-focused summer camps for kids 6-13 years old.
Advances in science and technology have turned our world upside-down over the past few decades. So the question becomes, how do we prepare our children to do more than just use these advances? How do we prepare them to invent tomorrow’s advances? We are working to do just that, by offering diverse hands-on STEAM-focused camps. Camps taught by some of the areas brightest teachers that show kids how to apply STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) principles to arrive at creative solutions.
Classroom Antics Staff
Toby Foote – Founder, Director
Toby is highly interested in science and technology. His desire to explore this area of study didn’t stop after his degree in Information Science from the University of Cincinnati. He went on to spend many years gaining programming and technology experience. He worked at organizations such as NASA, Compass Technologies, and KeyBank. However, after having children of his own Toby realized he wanted to use his knowledge to benefit all children, and formed Classroom Antics.
Today, Toby takes great pride in knowing that since Classroom Antics’ inception in 2007, over 10,000 children (including his) have been able to channel their excitement, and creativity, into highly valuable technology skills.
Tara Foote – Co-Founder, Marketing Director
Toby Foote and Tara founded Classroom Antics together to address the rising need for tech education for kids. Currently, Computer Science classes are not offered or the offering is very limited. They felt that Classroom Antics could help address this issue while emphasizing learning over just doing and sticking to our belief that learning can be fun.
Tara has a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Management from the University of Cincinnati and a Master’s Degree from Cleveland State. Classroom Antics is her professional job, although, as anyone who is a mother and wife knows it is not her only job. The favorite part of her Classroom Antics job is helping kids learn to do more with what they love.
