Classroom Antics is very excited that Dexter Industries, a leader in advanced sensors and peripherals for LEGO MINDSTORMS, announced the release of a new sensor for the LEGO MINDSTORMS system. Robotics Merit Badge for Boy Scouts

The Boy Scouts of America have announced a new merit badge, Robotics. This announcement comes during National Robotics Week. To earn the badge, scouts must, among other robot-related requirements (PDF): design, build, program, and test a robot; demonstrate the bot and share their engineering notes; attend a robotics competition or do research on robotics contests; and explain how robots are used today. This week April 9-17, 2011 is National Robotics Week. Events across the country are being held to promote robotics and what this field can offer young children. Starting today in Marion, Ohio (between Cleveland and Columbus) is the National Robotics Challenge.
