On November 18-20, 2011, Abu Dhabi will play host to the 8th annual World Robot Olympiad (WRO). The engineering classes offered through after school antics are excellent. Very hands on. Worth the fee. I chose to enroll my family to enhance our child’s introduction to science topics. Because science often takes a backseat to other subjects in school (it’s not a required state test in elementary grades in our state) I want my child’s exposure to be comprehensive even if I have to pay for it.read more

Amazing experience! The teachers are so dedicated and there is a very safe learning environment for all the campers. This camp was suitable for any child; my daughter went into Classroom Antics not knowing much about her program and came out of class with loads of fun topics. Would definitely recommend this program!!read more

My son completed the Stop Motion Animation Brick Flicks and loved it. He not only gained the skills of how to create a Lego movie, but learned how to use the software, camera, and his creativity to complete the movie. He loved the camp and I was impressed with his final project! The instructors were great, too. Definitely doing this camp again next summer. Well worth it if you have a child or children who like computers and you want them to learn something more than just playing games. I highly recommend Classroom Antics!read more

My son liked being there. It is very hard to get him to like anything, but he liked this. He learned a lot and wants to go back next year to do a different class. Ross was great and the kids got along with him well.read more

My twin boys who are 11 just took the junior arcade game coding class with Miss Kit and loved it. They wanted to go to school every day that week in the summer. This was my sons first year and he did the Video Design: Level Up and enjoyed it. He learned a lot and was excited for class every day. He has already asked to go back next year and do 2 classes.

My twin boys just took the junior arcade video game coding class with Miss Kit and they loved it! They are 11 and they complain about every class—either it’s too “kid like” and doesn’t teach them anything or it’s boring and they don’t want to be in school for the summer. I don’t know how they did it, but Miss Kit made them want to go every day! They learned and they loved it! They said it was the first time they weren’t talked down to and they felt like they were really learning about how to use the interfaces with the code. Our son had a fantastic time attending both Minecraft and Programming: Creative Coders. I was pleased to see many diverse females and males in his class as coding skills are important for everyone! The instructors were fantastic; we received a daily email with specifics on what our son had done each day. He received a jump drive with all his programs and at the end of the week had learned a great deal and had fun doing so! I especially loved that the class had many hands-on activities so that students were not simply staring at screens for an entire session. We will definitely be back next year and bringing our daughter too, now that she will be ready!read more

My nine year old boy/girl twins just finished creative coders. Totally recommend - they had a blast building their own video games and loved that they had their own flash drive from day one. This was my 8 year old son’s first experience with Classroom Antics and he loved it. He has very limited interests so it’s hard to find a summer camp that he is excited to go to. Classroom Antics was a perfect fit for him. They had a couple classes he was interested in, not just one. He was very sad when class was over for the week.read more

My son attended Lego Robotics and Video Game Programming: Arcade Generation last week. He came home and seemed surprised that they were actually fun! He thought he would just be "learning" not actually building robots and programming video games! He was mentally stimulated, excited about going, and sad when they ended! He LOVED LOVED LOVED these camps, told me they were the best camps he has ever attended (and he's been attending camps for 7 years), and asked me to make sure I sign him up for more next summer! I have liked that kids could work at their own pace, with extra help if they are struggling, and extra challenges if they pick up the material quickly.
