2023 Red Apple Award Recipients

What is The Red Apple Award?

Classroom Antics summer camps are amazing experiences, filled with vast educational enrichment, new friends, and lifetime memories. These experiences are made possible by our experienced teachers. From their preparation and training to be masters of the technologies they teach to the high-energy they deliver in the classroom during the week of camp, our teachers run a fun, educational, and professional camp. Red Apple Awards recognize our teachers who go above and beyond for their students and their families.

This Year’s Award Winners

It is my pleasure to announce the annual Red Apple Award recipients in recognition of being exemplary educators this summer. Congratulations to Alexa George and Morgan Orlowski for being named our 2023 Teacher of the Year and Rookie of the Year! This was an incredibly difficult selection with such a strong staff, but the survey results from families made the decisions clear. Thank you all for a great summer. See you next year!

More About our Teacher of the Year

Alexa led her LEGO Bots and Game Builder camps with excellence again this summer. Alexa is a fantastic teacher with a gentle demeanor, a constant smile, and a way of bringing out the best in her campers. Her classroom management skills make her camps run smoothly as she uses fun songs or rhymes to make “chores” like cleaning up or lining up more enjoyable. Both kids and their parents are happy when she is their camp instructor. Keep up the great work, Alexa!

More About our Rookie of the Year

Megan wowed us her first year with Classroom Antics! New to Minecraft Education and Animation, she took on the challenge of training, then helped each student learn too. She let the kids work at their own pace to complete lessons, encouraging them to work together to figure it out first. But when they couldn’t, she was right there to assist. The kids loved sharing what they created in Minecraft Animation, and found Megan to be their biggest cheerleader. She made camp fun and was always smiling. We are so glad you joined us, Megan!
