LEGOLAND Japan World Record for Largest LEGO Cherry Blossom Tree

In March of 2018, LEGOLAND Japan’s Nagoya location broke the world record for the largest LEGO brick cherry blossom tree. The LEGO build measures 14 ft. 4 in. tall and 17 ft. 9 in. long and 16 ft. 2 in. wide. Over 800,000 LEGO bricks made this creation. The LEGO construction took over 6,500 hours to build.

Obviously, this build currently resides in LEGOLAND Japan. It celebrates LEGOLAND Japan’s first year anniversary. However, its design and construction took place in the Czech Republic. The assembly of the cherry blossom tree then took place in LEGOLAND Japan.

The structure not only has incredibly realistic cherry blossoms it also has a number of lanterns that actually light up. This is sure to spark a few building ideas with your child. , and who knows, they may break a world record of their own someday!

Be Creative in Camp

Your child could be the next world record builder of LEGOs. Our robotics summer STEAM camps for kids 7-9 and for kids 10-13 are a great way to introduce your child to the skills needed to build the future. Beginning at age 7, campers learn the basics such as building and robotics. Consequently, these skills are the building blocks to educational paths in all aspects of engineering, robotics, and architecture to name a few.

Most children aren’t exposed to complex and in-depth builds until at least high school, if not college. And our approach includes a fun, hands-on, teamwork-style learning that inspires kids beyond just playing. Imagine the leg up your child could have in developing their love for LEGOS into a career.
